Now let's connect our floor plan to our elevations page. Let's go ahead and go back to our model tab. And right here in our model tab we're going to move and pan over to our kitchen area and zoom in.
Next let's open up our AutoCAD for Interior Design residential blocks file and here we will zoom into the annotation area. There is one called elevation tag. Now this step is very important or this will not work.

I'm going to select that elevation tag and we'll type in b-edit stands for block edit ENTER and when you see elevation tag go ahead and click ok and then type in the word properties and over on the left under the block where it says annotative and it's set to yes change that to no and then click the close block editor you will be prompted to save the changes so go ahead and do that and now it should work okay you grab that elevation tag CTRL C go over to our project and CTRL V to paste and there it is let's click one time to paste it let's go ahead and select it now and change its layer and the layer that we want is a anno tags and then let's double click let's make a change to the value we'll leave it at one and then we'll put a space and a space after the slash and change the sheet to i5 because all of our kitchen elevations are on sheet i5 and click ok with that change let's go ahead and mirror it we'll draw a mirror line and enter and then we'll select both and copy them one time to the right select the copies and type in ro for rotate click in the middle and type in 90. Now we have an arrow that points every direction okay let's grab this arrow and move it to the right so they're opposite each other and we'll grab these and select m for move click turn off ortho and bring them right here into the kitchen and now we want the one that looks up and we'll use the m command for move click right at the top and put that right below the kitchen room tag and now we need to copy the one that looks directly at the island we'll do co to copy click and paste it right here looking at the door elevation and click there we go and we ended up with one extra so we'll delete it now that we have all the tags they're all pointing to elevation number one but we know that only this door elevation is number one and then it kind of goes around the room so if we double click here we can change this one to elevation two so the elevation looking at the hearth is number two the one looking at the range will double click and that will be elevation three okay and then the one looking here at the island will double click and that's elevation number four and then we'll click okay so with those all named let's go back to i2 and we want to turn them on they're not showing yet so we'll double click here and we'll type in layer and we place them on the ano tags layer which happens to have a vp freeze turned on so we'll turn off the vp freeze get that little sunshine going again and now we'll see those elevation tags i'm going to double click to be out here in the sheet if i zoom in you can see that this refers me to the elevation sheet for example this one says elevation number one on sheet i5 and if we go to sheet i5 indeed elevation one is looking at that back door and the related cabinetry
