The AI for Business Professionals Certificate Program teaches business professionals to build the software their work actually needs, starting from no coding experience. It opens with AI-assisted development and web application fundamentals, so you ship a live application early rather than after months of theory. A dedicated architecture course then covers what sits underneath: how business data and databases are modeled, how applications integrate email, calendars, analytics, CRM, and accounting systems, and how retrieval-augmented generation, agents, and guardrails work in practice.
The remainder of the program is applied build work across five portfolio labs spanning personal productivity, knowledge-base chatbots, marketing and sales, finance and compliance, and operations and client management. Each lab produces deployed, documented applications rather than exercises, with security, privacy, and access control treated as requirements throughout. Graduates leave able to scope a business problem, build and ship a solution, and demonstrate it to non-technical stakeholders.
This is the recommended order, but some courses may be taken in a different order.
Unit 1 60 Hours
Learn to build, test, and deploy full-stack web applications with AI coding tools, covering prompting, version control, databases, authentication, security, and hosting.
Unit 2 60 Hours
Learn how production AI business applications are actually designed: data modeling, systems integration, retrieval-augmented generation, agents, guardrails, and the security practices business data demands.
Unit 3 30 Hours
Design, build, and deploy a working document summarization and action-item dashboard, your first live application in the portfolio.
Unit 4 30 Hours
Build and deploy a retrieval-augmented chatbot that answers from your own documents, manuals, and policies, suitable for customer support or internal knowledge.
Unit 5 60 Hours
Build and deploy revenue-facing applications: analytics-to-insight reporting, AI content generation, a sales CRM, and automated outreach.
Unit 6 60 Hours
Build and deploy a financial dashboard with calculations computed in code, plus an AI-assisted document and agreements hub with compliance workflows.
Unit 7 60 Hours
Build and deploy an agentic operations automation hub and a client-facing practice-management system with scheduling, billing, and a client portal.
