Accreditation Council for Continuing Education and Training

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET) has been officially recognized by the Department of Education since 1978 as a reliable authority on the quality of education and training. ACCET strives to identify, evaluate, and enhance the delivery of continuing education and training through an independent peer evaluation process. VDCI is accredited by ACCET, granting us public recognition for the degree of excellence of our institution and the educational programs offered.

California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education

The California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) oversees private postsecondary educational institutions to ensure quality educational programs and operating standards. VDCI is approved by the BPPE to offer vocational programs, avocational programs, and avocational single and multiple-course training bundles.

Approval to operate indicates that the institution meets minimum state standards but does not indicate that the institution or the educational programs are endorsed or recommended by the state or by the bureau.

Autodesk Training Center

Autodesk Authorized Training Centers maintain a professional staff of Autodesk Certified Instructors recognized by the worldwide Autodesk Learning Partner community. VDCI is the first Nationally Accredited Autodesk Training Center and the first Autodesk Academic Partner in North America. VDCI provides training in AutoCAD, Revit Architecture, Revit Structure, Revit MEP, Navisworks, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

U.C. San Diego Extended Studies

VDCI has been a Continuing Education Provider for the University of California Extended Studies, San Diego since 1991. VDCI develops and hosts the CAD and BIM training programs for UC San Diego, which are highly recognized within the University’s Continuing Education program.

U.S. Department of Education

The U.S. Department of Education provides oversight over the postsecondary accreditation system through its review of all federally-recognized accrediting agencies to enforce their accreditation standards for educational excellence. VDCI reports to the DOE through ACCET and is held to the DOE’s highest standards of academic honesty, quality, and integrity.

Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act was established in 2014 to provide employment training resources for adults and dislocated workers. The State of California’s Employment Development Department (EDD) has approved VDCI as an Eligible Training Provider on the Eligible Training Provider List (ETPL) for providing training in CAD, BIM, and Digital Arts and Visualization.

Associated Schools of Construction

VDCI is thrilled to be a Full Academic Institutional Member of the Associated Schools of Construction (ASC). The Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) is the professional association of construction educators and industry practitioners working together to develop and advance construction education. It promotes the sharing of ideas and knowledge and inspires, guides, and promotes excellence in curricula, teaching, research, and service. The ASC comprises eight regions; seven from the United States and Canada and one European region.

The American Job Centers assist Americans who have recently lost their jobs in enhancing their professional skills through partnerships with recognized, approved training institutions. VDCI is proud to be a partner of the American Job Center Network, also known as the One Stop Career Centers.
