Adding Kitchen Notes and Keynotes to Residential Interior Design Sheets Using AutoCAD Tools

Learn how to efficiently add and position Kitchen Notes and Keynotes in AutoCAD sheets for residential interior design projects.

  • Movement of text blocks, such as Kitchen Notes, can be achieved by selecting them and using the 'M' command for move. The article suggests moving them up by 3 8ths of an inch.
  • Similarly, Kitchen Keynotes can be added by copying the title, pasting it, and moving the text block down by 3 8ths of an inch.

Now let's add our sheet notes. Begin by opening the document AutoCAD for Interior Design, Residential Sheet Notes, and then scroll all the way down to page 13. Let's select the title, which is Kitchen Notes, and copy that over on our sheet.

We will paste that Kitchen Notes title there, and then we'll add all of our Kitchen Notes. We'll select the entire block, CTRL C, double-click here, delete everything that's existing, and paste, and click away. There it is, we've got our Kitchen Notes.

Let's go ahead and select them, and we'll M for move, and move them up, let's say, 3 8ths of an inch. Now we'll grab this whole block, the title and the text block, CO to copy. We'll click, move our cursor straight down, and let's type in 7.5 inches, and escape.

Now we will scroll down to our Kitchen Keynotes, grab that title, and copy it, paste it here, Kitchen Keynotes. Looks like we'll have to move our text block down, not a problem. Let's go down 3 8ths of an inch, and let's select all of this text, CTRL C to copy it, double-click here, delete everything existing, and paste it.
