The last drawing that we reviewed was for a floor that was much lower in the building. This is the main public space. Again, we have the architectural background screened in.
The mechanical engineer's work is in black. The mechanical systems for the public spaces are documented. They will be covered in the enlarged plans within the guest spaces.
Now, you might be overwhelmed by what you're about to see, but just take it all in stride, and we will break it down into smaller pieces so that you're not overwhelmed. I'm going to begin by zooming in here in the pool area. The engineer has taken advantage of this graphical space on the paper.
They've placed their general notes here, and their net pressurization schedule here, showing ventilation air in, exhaust air out, and net pressurization. So, now, let's pan over. Remember, we have guest suites down here.
We have mechanical equipment rooms over here, bathrooms here, fitness here, office admin here. So, if I zoom into here, you can see that the systems are noted here. The notes are keynotes that go over to the specific systems.
So, you can see how we have ducting that comes here, goes over to there, and then it's going to be in the space over the hallway. So, air processing is going in through here, following this major duct all the way up and over. So, we're feeding into the actual suites.
So, you can just see the logic and the workflow for those suites. Now, another system is feeding the women's and men's bathrooms and the fitness area. You can see ducting sizes.
You can see the supplies. Here is one of the FCUs (fan coil units). So, again, we have rigid ducting, 6-inch diameter outside of that.
It continues and goes into the main feed. So, again, the main feed here, coming down through here, branching off to the left and right into the different spaces. So, there's an FCU here and an FCU here.
And again, the FCUs would be in the ceiling. Here, we have the main feed. I'm going to zoom back a little bit.
And yes, it does look pretty overwhelming. But again, we can see the main system here. It crosses over here, comes down here, and then pipes out from there.
And you can see that it gets smaller as it gets closer to the end. Again, all of these things are done in 3D, and so Revit allows us to work things out. You can see where we have flexible and bendable units.
Again, duct sizing distributes out and over, getting smaller as we end. I'm back at this system. Again, coming here and branching off from there.
Let's go back to this point. Again, all you need to do is just imagine the fact that here are the systems right here, the FCUs, and they're numbered. And so, then the ducting branches out from there.
So, you literally start at the FCU and just follow how it's wider, same, gets narrower, and branches off from there. This is truly an art form. It is truly an art form.
There's a lot of duct work above the kitchen area right over here, as you would expect. Again, everything is modeled in 3D. If I zoom in on this area, you can see how I have this ducting up here, and then you'll notice that there's one right below it.
It's a solid line, and then it goes dashed. That means that this duct is below this duct, and this duct in here is above this ducting system here. So, this one is above this one.
This one is below this one. So, there's a good chance that this system and this system are at similar vertical elevations. You can see in this 22 × 14 that they tee off, go flexible, and then there's the supply.
Just keep panning over, very typical through here. You can see how it tees off, and then it's going to be going into the slot vents that would be up in the ceiling. So, they're turning those into an architectural element.
This is the room with the coffered ceiling. In the meeting rooms, I have an FCU here. It branches out into the guest suites.
So, we see the branching that's happening there, and it is also doing some work down here in the meeting rooms. I have FCU 12, fan coil unit 12 here, going over. If I zoom in, you can see how this is below, with this ducting here below this ducting over here.
We have callouts for diameter size. They are showing the CFMs per room. An interesting drawing, very, very interesting.
