Let's continue with our dimensions. I'm going to zoom into the bedroom down here.
And let's add some linear dimensions. Dim linear. First, I'm actually going to dimension the bathroom wall here because it's in this bedroom, but it's actually dimensioning that wall.
Then let's dimension the closet. There's the width of the closet. Let's dimension the door while we're here.
I'll bring that one in a little bit. Now we can do the face of the closet, the full width, and we can do the distance of the little bump out here. Next, let's move into the bathroom.
I'm not going to dimension the sinks in this case because we're going to add that into our detailed plan later. But I am going to dimension both of those door openings and the door here. I'm also going to dimension the closet right above.

Now this one's tricky. We want to make sure that the dimension goes to the inside of the closet, not the corner of the pocket door. Let's get the full width of the closet and this 1'4'' dimension there.
While we're here, let's grab this door. I'll make it the same width as that dimension there. Now we can dimension this bathroom up here, both doors first and foremost.
Again, I'm going to snap that there. Then the door here. Excellent.
Let's do the top of this closet here to here. Then I'll do a dim continue to there and to there. Let's grab the width of this wall from here to here.
That goes like that. Then let's do the three dimensions in here. Inside to inside, dim linear, outside corner to the inside of this door, dim continue across the door and to the inside of this wall.
It looks like we forgot to do the widths of the doors and windows here. Again, we're only dimensioning these doors and windows this way because it's a good example. But we would want to, in a normal project, keep all of these dimensions the same exact type.
We're doing dimensions on this wall from end to end and end to end of all of the windows and doors. Here we did to the middle and then the extra dimensions here. But we wouldn't want to do that if we were only doing it in one wall.
We want the whole project to be consistent. The final dimension string we need is actually for all of the walls here. We can see a very long dimension string on our handout coming right up the middle of this hallway.
I'm going to start with my first dim linear in this closet. I'll choose here to here. I want to place this right on that midpoint.
Now we can go dim continue. Let's grab all of the relevant corners. There's a corner here, corner of the wall here, corner of this closet, that wall on the top.
Let's choose the top of the door frame here. Then corner of this closet. Then we'll go to the top of this wall and finally the exterior corner of the house.
Escape, escape, escape. Zoom extents and control S to save. I always encourage you when you're working through a set of floor plan dimensions like this to mark them off with a highlighter as you go along.
