In this video we are going to continue our wall's outline. Let's focus on this top right corner.
Remember, it's going to come down, then over to the right, then down, all the way to the garage, and then over again. We're going to need some pretty large offsets in a couple of directions. Let's start with this vertical line and offset to the left.
We're going to go four feet ten, and that goes to this dimension right here, and then we need to go across all the way. But notice there's no dimension that goes all the way to the corner here. There's two dimensions.
One that goes to the living room wall, which is right around here, and then one that goes the rest of the way. We'll need to offset this first for the short wall down here, then from that line over twice to find the point here. So let's get started.
The first offset distance is four feet ten. Offset, four feet ten. Enter.
That's this line to the left. Click. Enter to say we're done.
Enter to go back in. Next is ten feet nine and a half. That's ten feet nine point five.
Ten feet nine point five. Enter. I'll choose this line and go to the left and click.
Enter to say I'm done. Enter to go back in. Finally, it's thirteen feet eleven and a half.
Thirteen feet eleven point five. Remember, do not enter spaces, especially when typing in fractions. Always use dashes and decimal points.
I'll say enter. Choose this line and go to the left. Enter to say that I'm done.
Now this line here, remember, we're not going to use for this operation. So for now, I'm going to click the center grip, right click, scale, and I'll do a scale of point five. Enter.
That's going to remind me that that's construction geometry that we'll use later in the project. Okay, now from the bottom up, you'll notice that there's no top down dimension given on the handout. We have to start from this corner and work our way up.
The garage is a total of twenty two feet eight inches. Let's do that. Offset.
Twenty two feet eight. Enter. I'll choose this line and go up and click.
Enter to say I'm done. Enter to go back in. And the last offset we need is twenty seven feet three and a half inches.
Twenty seven feet three point five. Enter. And that's here up to here and click.
Enter to say that I'm done. Now the part of the building that needs to go away is going to be this, this, and this. Okay.
We're going to use the same trick using fillets. We're going to start here, turning the corner each time and following that shape until we end down here. I'll go fillet.
M enter for multiple. I'll start here. I'll turn the corner and choose here.
I'm going to re-choose it so that I can turn the next corner. Now we come over to this corner, this line first, this line second, down to this corner here and here, and then this corner here, turning right, click. Enter to say that I'm done.
Alright, excellent. We cut out this shape. Now let's focus on the bottom left.
This one's even more complicated. You can see that there's three horizontal datums, this wall here, then a little bump out, and then the wall in the front door area. So let's start there.
To get up to this bump out, we can see that it's a total distance of 16 feet, 6 inches. So let's go offset. 16 feet, 6. Enter.
From this line, up and click. Enter to say I'm done. Now if we check the handout, both of our next offsets come from this line.
The one on the left is going to be a total offset distance of 2 feet, 6. We can see that on the dimension that's out here. So I'll go offset. Enter.
2 feet, 6. Enter. And I'll go up and click. Enter to say that I'm done.
Then the next offset distance we can see on an interior dimension. It's somewhere here in the plan. And that dimension says 11 feet, 1.5 inches.
So I'll go offset. That's 11 feet, 1.5. Enter. I'll choose this line and go up and click.
Enter to say that I'm done. Now the distance between these two is only going to be 8 feet, 7.5 inches. But remember, the distance that we were worried about, distance from here to here.
And that is 11 feet, 1.5 inches. Okay. Now let's look at these horizontal offsets.
These are a little easier to read. It's going to be every major bump out. 16 feet, 2. 10 feet, 2. And 11 feet, 8. Let's do our offset.
16 feet, 2. Enter. This line here. Enter to say I'm done.
