The Revit MEP Professional Training Fast-Track Program is geared towards students who want to pursue careers in the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) fields. Begin with the fundamentals of Revit and BIM and progress into the MEP-specifics of using Revit MEP tools in the BIM process. These courses will also prepare you to take the Revit MEP Certified User Certification Exam. You will learn the skills and workflows which are practiced professionally by MEP engineers and support staff.
Unit 1 30 Hours
In this beginner-friendly Intro to Revit course, you'll dive into how Revit (BIM) links all your project information using the Revit Architecture tools. You'll learn how to design 3D models that automatically generate 2D architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, and 3D perspective views. Starting with a pre-made template, you’ll build a Building Information Model, create floor plans and elevations, generate 3D views, place them on sheets, and print them to PDF. You'll get access to Revit files to kick off your project, along with step-by-step videos to guide you along the way.
Unit 2 30 Hours
In this intermediate BIM class, you'll learn advanced Revit techniques for documenting projects, including scheduling components, creating 2D/3D families, refining graphics, and making a streamlined construction document set. You’ll also build on an existing model, explore design options, create custom schedules, and develop custom Revit families. By the end, you’ll turn a conceptual model into a complete, integrated construction document set.
Unit 3 30 Hours
This Revit MEP course focuses on using Revit MEP Mechanical to set up and manage mechanical systems within a building model. It begins with project setup, including linking architectural models, defining spaces, and setting up worksharing for team collaboration.
Unit 4 30 Hours
This MEP course focuses on using Revit for Plumbing, guiding students through the process of creating and managing plumbing systems within architectural models.
Unit 5 30 Hours
Unlock the potential of Navisworks, a powerful project review software widely used in the architecture, engineering, and construction industries. This course is designed to provide you with a foundational understanding of Navisworks, enabling you to confidently collaborate and manage projects effectively. Well worth the training
Everything was well paced and through. Coming from a mechanical/plumbing background, Revit always felt intimidating. BIM 101 broke everything down into a clear, manageable workflow. By the end, I was building models and actually understanding how to apply Revit in real project environments. This course genuinely boosted my confidence with BIM.

I think this was a great introductory course. I had taken a similar course in the past, three hours a week for six weeks, and didn’t feel like I learned much. I really like that this one allows you to follow each video at your own pace, and I appreciate the skill tests and hands-on quizzes. I’d highly recommend it. I feel much more confident in my Revit skills now.

The training was very well-structured and easy to follow, with practical examples I could apply right away in my work. Revit files are very common in any project. Now I can navigate through them and gather important information about the architect’s design, as well as share ideas back with them to coordinate more efficiently.
The videos are really easy to understand and it gives you a step-by-step instruction from which you could really have a feel of the software. The training helped me in my career in terms of a more visual approach of the projects that we handle (since mostly for electrical engineering we deal with single line drawings), it makes me appreciate more and have a greater overall view of the project.

Revit is the future of my profession as a draftsman in an architecture firm. I was starting to learn the program through work, but was overwhelmed trying to navigate the program and understanding all of its capabilities. After completing 2 courses I was able to feel comfortable working in Revit as I had a better knowledge of how to maneuver through the program, as well as how to create families and how to make them parametric. I enjoyed the instructional videos and being able to learn on my own time but still having to meet deadlines to keep me on track and moving through the course.
Hands down a 5. I loved the flexibility the VDCI courses allowed me. While working full time, I was able to incorporate the video training into my daily work routine; so even though I completed smaller bits of training at a time, I was able to remain consistent with said training allowing me to never feel behind or having to consistently ‘back track’ to refresh my brain to where I last left off. VDCI’s training definitely helped my career by allowing me to incorporate what I learned into practical daily use on smaller projects way before our company’s deadline (end of this calendar year) to be fully using Revit in place of AutoCAD. Thanks again for a great learning experience.
