Now we're going to add a few more elements to finalize this detail. So the first thing that we need to add that we didn't have to show on our other Wall Detail was the masonry anchor. And so we're going to just do that with Detail Lines.

And we'll show the anchor somewhere in between the air barrier and the exterior sheathing. And then we'll have it come across into one of our grout areas here. And then we can adjust it as needed.

After we've drawn it in. One thing I'll do here is I'll actually move these Text Notes up a little bit higher. And then I'll copy one to highlight the anchor.

And then we can add the rest of our Text Notes to take care of the rest of it. And so some of these things you can see, our detail is a little top-heavy. If we wanted to, we could move a lot of this stuff down to make it look a little bit better.

Because we don't need to show this much of the detail. And then we've got notes that we need to add for the sealant and backer rod, we have a note that we need to add for the head flashing. And I'm going to move this down just a little bit, because this one looks a little strange.

And then we'll just adjust this one. And then a note for my window. And I'll just call this one out as Window per Schedule.

Now, the last thing I want to do here is get in and add a Break Line. And I can set that just so it clips both of these panes here. And then I'll add another piece of text here.

And I want to highlight the interior side and the exterior side of the detail. And so what I could do with these is I can actually highlight this Text. And then I can give it an underline here.

And then I can put something similar on this side to represent the exterior side of the detail. And that gives us our detail by using just straight Drafting Views. And what's great about this process is I can take this exact detail here and use it on another project if we needed it.

With the Model View, I wouldn't have that ability because most of that detail was generated based on elements that are only relevant to that particular model. So keep in mind when you're creating the details, you should also think about maybe I can potentially use this for future projects. And that would give me the ability to spend maybe a little bit more time creating it and have it be used across multiple projects instead of just one.

The other thing that you want to consider is this detail "Brick at Slab Edge" is a live detail. And so if somebody went in and moved this for whatever reason, like I just did there, then I would end up with a detail that looks something like that. And so we had a finished detail before, but now that that bubble has been moved, I've lost a lot of that information.

So it's something you want to consider when creating these details. And so I highly recommend using the Drafting View method because you don't have to worry about losing details if you have a random plan change. For instance, if this wall moved four or five feet in either direction, the detail that's now based off of this is completely gone.

So you want to weigh out the pros and the cons of the detailing method that you're using and pick the one that's going to work best for your workflow.
