  • In new Autodesk Revit installations, users may find some content missing. Missing content can be retrieved by visiting the Autodesk website and following the instructions.
  • Users can log into their Autodesk accounts and navigate to "All Products and Services" to find Revit. Rather than clicking "Install", users should click "View Details" and find the "Libraries" to download the desired content.
  • Once the download is complete, users can start the installation process by double clicking the downloaded file. The installer will then extract the file and begin setting up the Revit content. Upon completion, all Revit content will be available for use.

Note: These materials offer prospective students a preview of how our classes are structured. Students enrolled in this course will receive access to the full set of materials, including video lectures, project-based assignments, and instructor feedback.

If we have a fresh installation of Autodesk Revit, we might notice that the Revit content is missing. For example, if we go to "Component, " select "Place Component, " and choose "Load a Family, " we will see that the content is absent. In fact, there is a Revit family message that says, "Are you looking for content? Visit www.autodesk.com." So, let's do that.

We'll start with this bulletin from Autodesk Support. It tells us that Revit content starting in 2025 is available through the Autodesk account. We go to our account page and log in.

Next, we go to "All Products and Services, " search for Revit, and here we find Revit. We don't click the Install button just yet.

Instead, we click "View Details." On the Details page, we will see all the available downloads. We need to find the Libraries.

We click the "Libraries" button. If we're looking for the English content, one way to find it quickly is to sort by file size. The US English content for Revit is one of the larger files.

We click the "Download" button. This will take a moment, but it will download the installer for all of that Revit content. Let's give it a moment.

When the download is complete, we will notice the Revit CPENU file appear in our Downloads folder. We double-click that file. This will extract the file and begin the installation process.

If prompted, we can allow Autodesk to make changes to our device, and then the installer will start setting up the Revit content for us. Once extracted, we click the "Install" button and let the installation process run. Once complete, we click the "Finish" button and return to Revit. Now, in the Architecture tab, under "Component, " we select "Place a Component, " then "Load a Family, " and we'll see all the Revit content ready for use.
