All right, welcome back. And now what we are going to look at is the floor sheathing for the guest room and the music room. So on top of the structural joists, the floor joists that we've looked at, we are going to do a takeoff of the sheathing that the then floor finishes will get applied over.
So the hardwood flooring in this case that is in the music room and guest room will be applied on top of this sheathing. So looking at sheet S3 here, looking at the guest room and the music room, we can do a quick look at a couple of these cut throughs just so we can see if there's a definitive call out for maybe the type of material that the sheathing is. Typically, it's going to be plywood for like a residential construction like this.
But let's just confirm. So let's go into our details here. And we can see we have a lot of connection details of, you know, studs to kind of like floor joists and perimeter framing.
Let's go into, let's go into S10 here, the guardrail connections. We've got the shear wall details. There you go.
This is all just kind of framing details that are actually showing how the exterior shear wall framing is fastened down into the concrete decking. Not necessarily seeing anything giving us a clear description of what the floor finish is going to be. We'll do one more quick review over here on sheet S11.

Just all the shear wall details and the attachment details there. OK, let's just go ahead and assume that it is a kind of structural grade plywood. And let's go ahead and do our takeoff here.
We will examine this built up floor for the architectural afterwards. But first, we're just going to run plywood through all of this. So let's just grab an area takeoff here.
And in that area takeoff that we're grabbing, let's just go into the subject and let's just call this, we're going to call it plywood floor sheeting. And let's just give that a color here, we'll make this kind of brownish. And we're going to go down to this custom area in specifications and.
Again, we're just going to call this kind of wood framing, we're going to lump everything together to make it a little bit easier on us. And let's turn the opacity down a little bit so we can kind of see through this. And let's just go ahead and run that takeoff.
We're going to go to each of our four corners in the guest room. And we're going to get our sheeting takeoff. All right, so we've done that.
Let's go ahead and set this as our default. And then we're going to go ahead and do the same exact thing over in the music room. We're going to run this to all four corners of our music room.
We're going to go to the solid line here, not the dotted one. And it looks like we have a little bit of a stair here. We'll just kind of go around that stair for the time being.
And then we will go back to that stair right now. We'll go around the stair and then let's just do our treads here. Get that tread.
Get this tread and we will get this area. You know, now that I think about it, I could have just ran this whole takeoff straight through, but didn't want to stop and make sure that we captured that stair. Actually, you know what? Let's just delete that and let's just run this whole thing.
Sure, we'll have some extra like cuts and pieces like that. So I'm going to click on each of these ones. We'll delete them.
And then let's just take this one all the way out to the corner. That'll encompass any sort of extra that we may need there. Okay, great.
We have gotten our plywood sheathing for the guest room and the music room. And let's go up to the next floor on sheet S4 and we'll do the same. So here we are going to be doing the sheathing for the roof deck level.
So let's go ahead and do that. And let's grab our area here. And since we've already made the floor sheathing the default, when we choose area and we go to properties, we will see that the plywood floor sheathing is going to show up.
So that's excellent here. We're going to go ahead and run this floor sheathing. All the way around.
We are going to make sure that we capture this little bump out area as well. That is going to have to be sheathed because there is going to be a roof that goes over this as well. Remember, this is part of that standing seam roof assembly.
Okay. We've got our sheathing there on top of those floor joists and let's go ahead and capture our sheathing on top of these structural glue lamp beams. Remember again, the roofing here is the standing seam roofing product.
We'll go from the solid line there to the solid line all the way down here. Cause there is that overhang if we remember from the architecturals. And all right, excellent.
Let's get this little infill area here. Make sure that this is also getting captured. And now some of this looks like it's a wall assembly.
Actually, I guess most of this is probably a bit of a wall assembly. We'll fill it in actually. Let's go ahead and do that.
Let's go ahead and fill all of this in. Make sure that we have roof sheathing on that. All right.
Excellent. So that is going to be all of our roof sheathing for the guest room and the music room. And let's go back to sheet S3 here.
We noticed that there was an area here for a built up flooring per the architecturals. Let's go ahead back to the architecturals and see what we need to do. If anything, from like a sheathing standpoint, or if that is all going to be built up with flooring underlayment or what the situation will be there.
If we look at the architecturals, we see not much in the way of notes here. Just see there's like a built-in tabletop shown. So, okay, let's just do an extra layer of that plywood sheathing just to account for whatever this built up floor is, because it does call it out on the structural plan.
So let's just go ahead and get our area and we'll go ahead and just run this one more time. And let's just, let's just assume an extra layer here doesn't necessarily call out exactly what's happening, but if it is built up, it is likely the chance that it's going to be built up with the kind of structural underlayment instead of the actual finished material, like, you know, the hardwood. So, great.
We've captured that. Let's go into our properties bar down at the bottom here. Let's go ahead and pull up our markups and take a look at all of our plywood floor sheathing.
Okay, so we've got a handful of different takeoffs there. Awesome. Now this is just going to be a reminder to make sure we save our work here so that we're not losing anything that we've just done.
