Welcome to Introduction to Reading Plans for Residential Construction. In this course we will start from the beginning and guide you through the process of understanding what plans and building documents are. In this course, we will study two residences, one is a residence of four bedrooms in a very simple flat lot.
The other house is a house of three bedrooms on several floors in a very complicated lot. We are going to learn a lot of interesting information. We will learn what type of documents are required by regulatory agencies to be included in the document building set.
We will understand more about the different professional disciplines involved in the creation of building documents. Architects, structural engineers, civil engineers, and in some cases, mechanical and electrical engineers. We will also learn more about the different types of drawings that are included in a set of plans.
