The Autodesk Certified User (ACU) in AutoCAD is Autodesk’s entry-level AutoCAD certification. It shows that you can use AutoCAD to create, edit, and organize drawings. Certiport, Autodesk’s testing partner for ACU exams, recommends it for people with about 150 hours of hands-on Autodesk software experience. For the separate, more advanced Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) in AutoCAD for Design and Drafting exam, Autodesk recommends about 400 to 1,200 hours of AutoCAD experience.
Topics include creating, organizing, annotating, and plotting drawings; editing and hatching objects; working with layouts; dimensioning; and using blocks and other reusable content. Review the AutoCAD exam objectives.
