Learn the essentials of structural BIM modeling using Revit Structure. This course covers the entire process of developing a four-story commercial project and integrating it with other disciplines.
The Revit Structure I course is designed for those taking their first steps into structural modeling and design using Autodesk Revit Structure. Ideal for aspiring structural engineers, architects, and design professionals, this introductory course builds essential skills through self-guided lessons and exercises. You’ll learn how to create basic structural models, work with families and templates, and understand core structural elements such as beams, columns, and foundations. Using Revit Structure tools, you’ll develop an accurate structural model for a real-world, four-story commercial project, taking it from initial setup through key stages of BIM development while gaining insight into how structural models integrate with other disciplines.
Throughout the course, you’ll navigate and customize the Revit interface for structural workflows, create and modify structural elements, and develop floor plans, sections, and elevation views. You’ll explore fundamental structural analysis concepts within Revit, apply reinforcement and detailing tools to support construction documentation, and generate accurate schedules for structural components, building a strong foundation for more advanced Revit study.
