AutoCAD Construction Documents III Course Online (Coming Soon)
Finish a complete 11-sheet residential construction document set in AutoCAD while learning the automation tools that make documentation faster.
Finish a complete 11-sheet residential construction document set in AutoCAD while learning the automation tools that make documentation faster.
This course completes the residential drawing set you started in Construction Documents I and II. You'll draft the four remaining sheets: door and window schedules, a reflected ceiling and electrical plan, kitchen elevations, and finish schedules with trim details. Each sheet introduces a tool that saves time on real projects, from dynamic blocks and data extraction that build a live door schedule to layer states that switch between ceiling, electrical, and floor plan views.
You'll also record actions to automate repetitive drafting, write a custom hatch pattern file, and use annotative scaling so text and dimensions stay consistent across viewports. The course ends with the Sheet Set Manager, where you'll link sheet titles and project data across drawings and batch plot the full 11-sheet set as a single PDF.
Before taking this course, complete our AutoCAD Construction Documents I Course Online and AutoCAD Construction Documents II Course Online, or have equivalent experience creating residential construction drawings in AutoCAD.
Work on projects proven to boost retention
Refined over many years for an optimal learning experience
This training will definitely help my career. I was able to show my supervisor and co-workers what the software programs have to offer and what I'm capable of when the time comes for creating that construction design team in the future. I was able to provide documentation to my employer that the money spent was well worth it. The training I received at VDCI will become an asset moving forward.
