Hands down a 5. I loved the flexibility the VDCI courses allowed me. While working full time, I was able to incorporate the video training into my daily work routine; so even though I completed smaller bits of training at a time, I was able to remain consistent with said training allowing me to never feel behind or having to consistently ‘back track’ to refresh my brain to where I last left off. VDCI’s training definitely helped my career by allowing me to incorporate what I learned into practical daily use on smaller projects way before our company’s deadline (end of this calendar year) to be fully using Revit in place of AutoCAD. Thanks again for a great learning experience.

This course was a fantastic investment! The content was relevant and well-organized, and the materials provided were incredibly helpful. The project-based based was especially enjoyed. Highly recommend this course to anyone looking for a professional course in Revit.

I enjoyed the range of buildings that we worked on in each course. It adds a different element to each course with building/viewing a different building every time. The course has helped me with my career in many ways. The main one is that we are just starting to look at using Revit models to help us with our concrete construction. Receiving this knowledge taught in this course is helping me jumpstart the talks of using these tools more in the future. Without this course I do not think I would be able to learn what I have learned on my own.

I enjoyed the fact that I could take the courses online. Having the ability to follow along at my own pace as long as it is within the allotted time for the course was very helpful. I like that you can pause and rewind lessons. I feel that was key for me to help me fully understand the lessons. I am currently a plumber. A foreman to be exact. I have found drawings and plans given to us are usually very vague. I have been able to create my own drawings for current projects that are much more detailed than ones provided to us by the architect and engineers. I use these drawings in OAC meetings to convey examples to GCs and owners. I love how I can cut my own section views instantly. This usually takes weeks to get requested additional drawings from an architect after submitting an RFI. I generate my own dimensions that are usually missing on paper. At the end of the project I use all this to create very accurate as-built drawings. I have been asked multiple times where I went to school to learn Revit. I always recommend VDCI to anyone interested in learning. With 4 Revit certificates under my belt, I am eager to learn more and enroll in the next course!

My rating of the course was definitely a 5, I really enjoyed the format of the coursework, which allowed me to have flexibility in my life. I also was happy that my instructors had timely responses and gave good advice and feedback on my questions. This course has given me the confidence to pursue a career thanks to the teachings at VDCI!

I most enjoyed learning how to design a new two-story office with custom walls, windows, and storefront curtain walls. Revit helps me understand the design process and implement an efficient construction management scope.

Easy to follow! Instructor is responsive and understanding. Seeing how fast I completed the training helped my firm assess my Revit understanding.

I'm so happy to share my experience with VDCI. I took my Revit course during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Before that, although I tried for many years to take a Revit Course (I tried just before the housing market crashed in 2008) but after getting laid off and after that non-stop work and traveling for many years, I was unable to take any classes. I got a chance during the Pandemic, and I am very happy to say that it completely changed my life. I saw the benefits of working from home between 2020 and 2022 and how close I got to my wife and kids... I wanted to keep that work/life balance, and I was able to thanks to completing the Revit Course with VDCI. I have been working from home doing Revit with a great company in Illinois called Crawford, Murphy and Tilly. I would NEVER have been able to get such a great, fully remote job without the training I got at VDCI. Now, my daughter who will graduate from High School next year will also be taking courses at VDCI, AutoCAD and Revit since my job offers internships and jobs for people with those skill sets. THANK YOU SO MUCH for everything! Taking the Revit VDCI course was life-changing for my family and I and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

The course materials were well-structured, and the instructors made complex topics easy to understand. VDCI's training helped strengthen my understanding of CAD and BIM workflows, which has been directly applicable to my work in construction coordination.

I would give the courses a 5. They were well organized. The speed of the courses and the amount of information I learned were helpful. I liked being able to go at my own pace, as well as rewind and go back to certain lessons when I forgot certain tools, commands, and workflows. I also liked the student forum to understand what other students are taking the courses. When I started this year, I had lost my job in project coordination and knew I needed to get back to my degree/career, architecture. I knew I needed to relearn Revit, so I took the beginning and intermediate level courses from VDCI. I had an interview last week, and they were impressed that I had gone to that level of preparation for the position. I start my new job as an architectural design associate in July! I would say that VDCI definitely helped my career!

The online Revit Training I took with The VDC Institute was nothing far from excellent. It was easy to follow and very informative. I'm definitely coming back when I want to get more training on other Autodesk products. I enjoyed that it revolved around my time, and nothing was rushed. The files provided during the training were easy to use. The lecturer speaking in the video also spoke in an engaging way. VDCI helped me get my user license in Revit and become that much better in the workforce. I try to utilize the teaching techniques from the training videos with my colleagues.

The VDCI’s training was great all around, but I really appreciated the instructors. The VDCI’s choice of teachers is phenomenal, and they helped me a great deal through my program. I’m currently an intern in a small firm in Seattle, and I never would have gotten here without the VDCI’s program.

I would give VDCI’s Revit program a 5/5. The best part of the program for me was the fact that the videos had step-by-step tutorials that had accompanying homework to practice with, which made it much better than trying to learn from YouTube or other programs. After taking the VDCI course, I was able to start all new projects at our company with Revit instead of AutoCAD and now head all BIM projects within the company.

I liked the structure of the course, the way one has to practice and complete a concrete assignment, not just listen to the lectures. I also liked the choice of topics and skills for this introductory course, so that even though this is the very beginning of getting familiar with the software, I feel optimistic about mastering Revit. It feels great to be able to put together a simple project after some 20-30 hours of learning and not being too overwhelmed!

The site is well organized; the Revit programs are very practical, simple and easy to follow. Very helpful, as a professional continuously having to learn a new software's to make our design and production process easier, I found VCDI Revit programs a very reliable resource to learn. The program videos and materials provided are being created and taught by real professionals with many years of experience in the industry. The videos are interesting, and they keep you focused all the time. The trainers are constantly providing practical tips and shortcuts that I have found very useful. The materials are easy to follow and are applicable to real life projects.

I enjoyed the online classes overall. It help me have a deeper understanding of the Revit interface.

This course is perfect as an introduction. Speaking to my step-dad who is in the structural drafting field, this is how it will be on the job in most respects, so it worked for me just fine!

My instructor, Michael Wilson, was extremely responsive and helpful when I was having some difficulty with the quizzes, I appreciate his dedication. Overall, this was easy to follow and I was able to go from zero knowledge in AutoCAD to creating a full drawing set in a matter of weeks. It will definitely take additional training to get the hang of all of it, but I would recommend it to others.

I'm more of a person who learns things from instruction through example. Meaning I need someone to visually show and explain to me how something works or is done. Through this course I've been able to not only get that kind of teaching but have been able to easily follow along and do it myself based on the video I followed along.

The course was great! Seeing I have had zero Revit experience, in a few cases I wish he went a little slower and gave a few more explanations of how mistakes can happen.
