Creating Stunning Renderings for Your Architectural Projects

Enhancing Renderings and Finalizing Sheet Composition

Explore the process of creating and manipulating renderings in an architectural design project, with a focus on interior and exterior views. Understand how image sizes and resolutions affect the quality of your project's presentation and learn how to properly arrange your renderings on a sheet for optimal aesthetics and clarity.

Key Insights

  • The article provides guidance on adding, adjusting, and organizing interior and exterior renderings into an architectural project. It highlights the importance of considering image resolution and size when incorporating these visual elements.
  • In addition to adjusting size and resolution, the article also emphasizes the necessity of proper positioning and arrangement of renderings on a project sheet. This plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall presentation and visual appeal of the project.
  • Beyond handling individual renderings, the article also mentions the use of a sheet index and the application of correct revisions to project sheets. Proper organization and documentation are crucial aspects of successfully managing and presenting architectural projects.

Now we are down to our last couple of sheets here. And so the renderings, this one's going to be pretty cool because what we'll do is we will go in, find renderings here, and we're going to grab our exterior rendering, put it on the sheet and our interior rendering and put it on the sheet. And you might be looking at that and thinking, there's no way that's what we're going to use.

Um, but that's okay. It is what we're going to use, but they are just JPEG images. And keeping in mind that I did render these out at pretty low resolution, so they won't show up at super high quality here, but I can go in now and I can actually adjust them to be whatever size I want.

Um, but you do have to do that with the understanding that if you make it really large, that you are going to lose some quality unless you render it out. At that large size. And so I'm just kind of going through the same process here where I'm going to now move the interior rendering and make it larger and then adjust the view title accordingly.

Okay. And just a little bit of composition here. Some of these things, it's just small, small items that you'll do that do go a long way into making your, your drawings look nice.

We've got our interior rendering, which I think looks pretty cool. And then our exterior rendering as well, both looking pretty good. So the other rendering that we have is actually on our title sheet.

And we want to take this view that we've already created, which is this demo 3D view. And what I'll do is I'll duplicate that view and rename it and I'll call it new 3D view, and essentially all I'm going to do is change the phase filter to show previous plus new, and we can put the exact same view on the title sheet below the other one, and then we can have both of those views on our, on our title sheet. And that's kind of a cool graphic showing, you know, what we, what we started with and where we ended up.

And the next thing we're going to do here is get our sheet index in order and make sure we apply all the correct revisions to our sheets.
