Hello and welcome back to Revit Structure. Let's get started. What we're going to do in this video is we're going to create a schedule sheet and produce a schedule for our spread footings.

We have already created other schedules so let's get started. First thing again we're going to do is create a new sheet. And this time we're going to go to the view tab in the sheet in the sheet composition panel.

We'll pick that and you see it gives us the same information that we had if we would have right clicked on sheets and created a new sheet. Let's hit okay. And here we have our new sheet.

Well we want to break this into segmented areas so let's go back to one of our previous sheets. Let's pick our lines. Again copying is faster than redrawing.

Let's copy that. Let's close this. Let's go to this space.

Modify. What we want to do is we want to align to the current view. Let's pick that and you see it gives us our grid the same one that we had on sheet 7.1. Let's go ahead and rename this sheet s 8.1. Let's call it schedules.

Very good. Sheet 8.1 schedules. What we want to do is we want to create our first schedule or create a schedule.

We want to go to view schedules. Drop that down. We want to schedule quantities of our footings.

Let's pick it and it drops us to a dialog box new schedule. Okay this gives us a category to put the schedule in. Let's go down.

It's a structural foundation so let's pick that. Let's rename it spread footing schedule. Okay let's hit okay.

Now it takes us to our schedule properties. This is important. This is where we will place properties that will give us the information that we'll pull from our project.

First thing we want to do is we want to go to type mark. That's why we place type marks on the elements as we made them. We want type that'll give us a size.

Let's add that. Now what we want to do is we want to add a parameter. It's just going to be a text parameter.

We'll call that reinforcement. Or shall we say footing reinforcement. Now we'll come down to the type of parameter.

It's just going to be a text parameter. We will just input text as our design engineer gives it to us. Let's hit okay.

The last thing we want to do is we want to have a comments area. Now let's go on to filter. We want to filter it by the type mark and we want it to contain the type mark that we gave it which is F dash.

Okay now we want to sort by the type mark and it'll be ascending from one to however many we have. Formatting. Now here's where we give the names to each header that we have in there.

Type mark. We'll call that mark because it's a mark on the plans. We want to center that.

Type which is a size. Again we want to center the text in that. And our footing reinforcement.

We'll just simply call that reinforcement. Comments we will change to remarks. Now let's check.

We want that oriented to the left. Again we want this oriented to center. Type is center.

Type mark is center. Appearance. We don't want any blank rows.

And sorting and grouping. We do not want to itemize every instance so let's turn that off. Let's hit okay and our schedule should come up with our footings.

Very good. Okay let's close that. Now what's happened is it's created in our schedules and quantities the schedules that we've made previously.

We have a column schedule, grade beam, spread footing, and still column schedule. So let's drag in our column schedule first. This is going to be our concrete column.

This is going to be our steel column. Now we'll drag in our newly created spread footing and our grade beam schedule. Let's line them up.

Now let's clean them up a little bit. And each of these marks is a delimiter for each of these panels. We can stretch them out and make them any size we want.

Let's get this cleaned up a little bit. Okay there we have our schedules cleaned up and looking good. Let's move into the center of our panels here.

Line them up. Let's move this one over. Line it up.

Let's stretch this out. Let's make sure we can read all of our elements very clearly. Let's put our last one in.

Let's get it squared away. Let's stretch this out a little bit so we can read it very easily. Zoom out.

There you have it. All of our type marks that we placed in our drawing have now come to life in our schedules on our final sheet. Spread footings, grade beams, columns.
