Now let's assemble our stem B to the clamp and the handlebar. Let's begin by zooming into that clamp and handlebar area and in the assemble area let's find joint. Let's go ahead and hide our stem B for now and change our orbit until we're looking up from the bottom at our clamp.
We can keep the origin mode at simple for now and go ahead and click that bottom center circle of the clamp. Click that one time. Now we can go ahead and unhide stem B, hide the clamp.
Also we can hide that handlebar and orbit until we're looking down onto stem B from the top. Keep that origin mode as simple and we want to click that center circle at the top of stem B one time. Over here in the motion tab we want to make sure the type is set to rigid and let's go ahead and unhide the clamp and unhide the handlebar.
What do you see as the issue? Well notice that clamp is popped up above the handlebar. That's because they've been stacked now with our clicking. Let's go ahead and click on the position tab again and we'll get that position arrows to show up.
We'll drag the clamp down until we're at 30 and at 30 we'll notice that the two holes line up with each other again right in the face of that clamp. There we go we can see all the way through and we'll notice our Z offset at that point is set to 30. Go ahead and click okay.
Open up the relationships folder and the joints folder. On this new generic joint we'll give it a name. We'll call it rigid and we'll call it clamp.
Awesome. Now let's go ahead and assemble the handlebars to the clamp. To do that let's first hide both of our grips.
We also want to zoom out a bit and make sure that we are oriented as if we were standing on the scooter holding the handlebars. Now we can zoom in. Under the assemble area we want to select joint and for our component one which is the handlebars we want to go to between two faces.
We'll start with the right side first. We'll click the outside right face one time then orbit over and click the outside left face of the handlebar. Now it wants the snap and that means we'll click right inside.
That center cylinder should highlight and we'll click. That will place our snap point right in the center. Now let's do a very similar operation for component two.
Origin mode we'll go to between two faces. We'll orbit to see the right side and we'll click one time. Now we'll orbit to the left side and click a second time.
Now we want the snap to be that center cylinder so we'll hover right inside and find that center cylinder and we can click. There it is. Now the snap points are lined up center to center.
There's no need to change the alignment and the motion can be set as rigid and we'll click preview. Everything looks good. We can click ok.
Now we'll get a new entry here in our joints folder. It's a basic generic rigid and we'll call it rigid handlebar. With that click enter to lock in the new name and smash that save button.
