- Understanding construction documents extends beyond just the house layout. The article emphasizes the importance of document features like sheet numbers, project numbers, and revision dates which are essential for project tracking and regulation.
- Keynotes on construction documents are unique for each page and provide crucial information about various elements of the project. What I'm going to do is to zoom in a bit so we can see a little bit more about the house. So again, what I have going on is I have my garage doors here. So I come into my garage.
Here's the garage area. I have a door right here that takes me into the mudroom. I can go up a couple of steps.
I have a little area for meeting. I have an elevator over here on the top left. I have some stairs that let me go upstairs.
So this is how I go upstairs. So I'm back into this little meeting area. I can go over and down.
There's a door here which takes me into a guest room or a bonus area down through here. So again, I have the garage, a mudroom, the elevator, a hallway meeting area, and I also have my bonus room back over there. So I'm going to back out a little bit and just go over the sheet.
Again, on the bottom right, I have A2.2, the sheet number. I'm showing the sheet name which is the basement plan. I'm showing the project number.
I'm showing my revision dates for the regulatory agencies. I'm going to zoom in to my keynotes. And again, these keynotes are unique for this page.
So you can see that here on the drawing, it says Keynote 7. And Keynote 7 says, fascia finish wall above foundation stem wall system. Here I have a Keynote 5 which is saying insulated crawl space with vents. If you look right here, you can see the bubble.
And again, this bubble is Delta 2. You can see that Delta 2 was submitted on the 18th of January. So again, here's the bubble with the Delta number. The Delta number for the revisions is included up here.
And I have my keynotes. What you'll also see is I have a Keynote 11 that says railing per detail. And I will show this to you later.
But you can see when I enlarge, it says railing per detail 3 over D7.2. So what this means is that when I go into the construction document and when I see Keynote 11, that the railing detail is shown on page D7.2 and it is image 3 on that page. And I'm just going to pan over. Just to let you know, here is the Keynote number 11 that's showing the railing to the step.
So again, Keynote 11, railing to the step, Keynote 3, and the notes are appropriate.
