  1. How Do I Access the Files Downloads for My Course?

Each course contains a File Downloads Zip file with important files and documents required to complete it. You must download and unzip the file before beginning the course.

To unzip in Windows, do the following:

  1. Download the File Downloads.zip file

  2. Locate it and right-click, then select Extract All. This will create a new folder with the same name.

  3. Copy the new folder to a location where it is easy to access. We recommend your C Drive or your Desktop.

Alternatively, you can double-click the zip file to open it and then drag the folder to your desired location.

  1. Accessing Your Student Software / How Do I Access Student Software?

If you are a Certificate Program Student, Fast-Track Program Student, ed2go Student, or have been issued an ATC Software license for Autodesk software, follow the steps below to access, download, and install your software after you have been issued your license. For program students, you will need to verify using SheerID first. Please note that our Single Course and Bundle students are not eligible to receive a free student software license. Instead, visit this article to learn how to install a free trial of your chosen software.

 

  1. Visit manage.autodesk.com and log in using the email you signed up with.

  2. Under the Products and Services section, click All Products and Services.

  3. You will see a list of all licenses that have been issued to you. If you need to find a specific one, use the search box to find it more easily.

  4. Click the Install button, then Accept.

  5. The download will start. Once it finishes, you can use the downloaded file to install your software.

  1. How do I Access the Software for this Course?

When you receive your "Welcome to Class" email, you will be provided specific instructions on how to access the software you will need for your class. We recommend downloading the most recent version of the software, which will be compatible with our course workflows.

  1. How Can I Communicate with My Instructor and Classmates?

VDCI encourages a strong online engagement between you, your instructor, and your classmates. You will participate in discussion forums, connect with your instructor and message your classmates. You are also invited to join us in the VDCI Student Lounge, where our instructors, staff, current students and alumni share information and help one another.

If you are unable to move past the welcome and resources section into the first lesson, please ensure that you have submitted your cancellation and refund acknowledgement and have selected whether you will be taking the class as graded (regular) or audit.
