How to Share Your Digital Badge on LinkedIn
At VDCI, we use Accredible to issue digital badges and certificates to help you showcase your accomplishments. Sharing these badges on LinkedIn is a great way to highlight your new skills. Follow these easy steps to share your Accredible credential on LinkedIn:
Step 1: Access Your Accredible Badge
- Login to Accredible:
- VDCI sends an email through Accredible once a course has been successfully completed. From this email, you should see access to Accredible and your credentials.
- Go to Accredible Login.
- Navigate to Your Credential:
- Once logged in, go to your dashboard.
- Find the certificate or badge you want to share in the “My Credentials” section.
- Click on the Credential:

- Click on the badge or certificate to open it and view its details.
Step 2: Share Your Badge on LinkedIn
- Find the "Share" Button:
- On your credential’s page, look for a "Share" or "Add to LinkedIn" button (typically located near the top or bottom of the page).
- If you don't see it immediately, check for an option that says “Share with LinkedIn” or a LinkedIn icon.
- Click the LinkedIn Icon:
- After clicking, you’ll be redirected to LinkedIn’s sharing interface. If prompted, log in to your LinkedIn account.
- Add Credential to Your LinkedIn Profile:
- You’ll see a pop-up window with options to add your credential to your LinkedIn profile.
- Customize the post by adding a personal message or any relevant details about your achievement.
- Verify Your Details:
- Double-check that your credential details are correct and that it appears as expected.
- You may be asked to confirm your identity or verify the credentials via a secure link.
- Publish:
- Click “Post” or “Share” to add your digital badge to your LinkedIn profile. It will appear under the "Licenses & Certifications" section of your profile.
Step 3: Add Your Badge Manually (Optional)
If the direct LinkedIn integration is not available or you prefer to add your badge manually, follow these steps:
- Get the Badge URL:
- From your Accredible credential page, copy the URL of your badge.
- Go to Your LinkedIn Profile:
- In LinkedIn, navigate to your profile page and scroll to the “Licenses & Certifications” section.
- Click the “+” Button to Add a New Certification:
- In the "Add a license or certification" form, paste the URL of your badge in the “Certification URL” field.
- Fill Out the Information:
- Include the name of the credential, issuing organization (Accredible), and any other relevant details.
- Save:
- Click “Save” to add your credential to your LinkedIn profile.
Step 4: Troubleshooting Tips:
- No "Share" Button: If you cannot see a "Share" button, check that your badge has been issued correctly and that your Accredible account is active.
- LinkedIn Errors: If you encounter issues while posting to LinkedIn, ensure your LinkedIn account is connected, and try using a different browser.
