We engineer projects all throughout Southern California, Northern California, and the surrounding states. This is the entry level for professional work. The Mechanical Engineer | Designer Level 1 shall perform assignments that are designed to development professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 a year

Responsibilities

  • Load calculations
  • Area take-offs and thermal zoning
  • As-built verification site visits
  • Duct layout and sizing with review
  • Packaged equipment selection with review
  • HVAC system coordination with design team
  • Pipe layout and sizing
  • Coordination with other trades (i.e. Plumbing, Electrical, Structural, Architect)

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of mechanical engineering experience
  • AutoCAD
  • Understanding of Autodesk AEC collection products including, but not limited to, Revit and AutoCAD
  • Basic understanding of Uniform Mechanical Code Chapter 4, Ventilation Air Supply
  • Basic understanding of Uniform Mechanical Code Chapter 5, Exhaust Systems
  • Self-motivated to consistently improve efficiency
