Our office is headquartered in San Diego, California with a second office in Lake Forest, California. This position can be filled in either office. We engineer projects all throughout Southern California, Northern California, and the surrounding states. This is the entry level for professional work. The Mechanical Engineer | Designer Level 1 shall perform assignments that are designed to development professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 a year


  • Load calculations
  • Area take-offs and thermal zoning
  • As-built verification site visits
  • Duct layout and sizing with review
  • Packaged equipment selection with review
  • HVAC system coordination with design team
  • Pipe layout and sizing
  • Coordination with other trades (i.e. Plumbing, Electrical, Structural, Architect)


  • 0-2 years of mechanical engineering experience
  • AutoCAD
  • Understanding of Autodesk AEC collection products including, but not limited to, Revit and AutoCAD
  • Basic understanding of Uniform Mechanical Code Chapter 4, Ventilation Air Supply
  • Basic understanding of Uniform Mechanical Code Chapter 5, Exhaust Systems
  • Self-motivated to consistently improve efficiency
