## Overview

This Civil 3D course introduces you to the core surveying and mapping tools used in real-world civil design workflows. You’ll become familiar with key Civil 3D elements such as survey and COGO points, point markers and label styles, point groups, linework code sets, figure prefix databases, survey imports, parcels, sites, and parcel labeling. The course also covers working with TIN surfaces, surface labels, and surface analysis, giving you a well-rounded understanding of how survey data is organized and used within the Civil 3D environment.

Instruction focuses on practical skills you can apply immediately, including creating, labeling, and organizing points into manageable point groups for large datasets. You’ll learn how to build description key sets and linework code sets, import survey data, and create and subdivide parcels with accurate labels and display styles. The course also walks through creating and editing TIN surfaces, adjusting surface definitions, and applying surface labels and analysis tools to produce accurate terrain models for civil projects.
