## Overview

This final course in the Construction Fundamentals series focuses on the startup, testing, and closeout of fire protection systems, a critical step before a building is ready for occupancy. Designed for professionals involved in construction and closeout phases, the course covers how fire suppression and alarm systems are designed, installed, and maintained to meet industry standards. You’ll explore wet-pipe and dry-pipe suppression systems, fire alarm components, life-safety requirements, and final MEP activities, with an emphasis on understanding and applying fire safety codes and regulations.

Then the attention turns to how these systems are implemented in real projects. You’ll work through testing and inspection procedures, system commissioning, and documenting performance for quality assurance. The course also addresses troubleshooting issues that arise during startup and highlights effective communication with engineers, inspectors, and other stakeholders, building the practical skills needed to ensure systems are compliant, functional, and ready for final handoff.
