# CAD Project Management Course Online

Canonical URL: <https://vdci.edu/courses/cad-project-management>

## Overview

This self-paced course is built for anyone who needs to step into a more organized, leadership-focused role within AutoCAD projects. Instead of concentrating only on drafting, the course shifts attention to how CAD files are set up, managed, and coordinated across a team. Through practical exercises, you’ll learn how to keep projects consistent, reduce errors, and create clearer lines of communication so drawings stay accurate from start to finish.

As you move through the course, you’ll develop a stronger understanding of what it takes to manage CAD work at the project level. You’ll set up AutoCAD environments that support office standards, apply consistent file naming and organization, and work within the National CAD Standards. You’ll also learn how to take over inherited CAD files and restructure them so they align with both office and national standards, making existing projects easier to maintain, update, and share.
