# BIM Detailing Course Online Canonical URL: ## Overview This self-paced course is all about helping you create clear, buildable construction details in Revit. You’ll work with both traditional 2D drafted details and a hybrid approach that combines live model views with 2D notes and graphics to better communicate design intent. The course puts extra emphasis on the hybrid workflow and walks you through practical tools like detail callouts, keynotes, importing vector files, building a reusable detail library, and working with 3D detail views. Everything’s taught through hands-on exercises, so you’re applying what you learn as you go. By the end of the course, you’ll be comfortable creating detail drawings that clearly show how building systems come together and how they should be constructed safely and correctly. You’ll also learn how to document materials, products, and finishes in a clean, organized way, while keeping your details aligned with project lineweight standards and National CAD and BIM guidelines. The goal isn’t just to make details that look good, but to produce drawings that actually work on real projects. ## What you'll learn - Create detail drawings of building systems that illustrate structural integrity and sound building construction practices. - Create and integrate detail drawings that limit or prevent accidental injury or death among users of the buildings. - Prepare detail drawings illustrating construction systems, products, and finishes. - Develop details and manage the detail information to confirm with project-based lineweight and National CAD/BIM standards. ## Prerequisites This course has a recommended prerequisite.
