## Overview

This interactive course introduces creative professionals to the growing role of generative AI in professional motion graphics and video editing workflows. Built for adult learners with experience in Adobe Creative Cloud tools such as After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Illustrator, the course takes participants through an end-to-end production process, from initial concept through final output, using AI-driven tools to increase efficiency, enhance creativity, and elevate production quality.

Participants will work with a range of AI platforms, including ChatGPT, Midjourney, Leonardo.ai, and Runway, to support research, script development, visual design, animation, sound design, and delivery workflows. The course also provides hands-on practice using ChatGPT to create automation scripts that simplify and optimize tasks in Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.

## What you'll learn

- Understand how generative AI tools function and how they are used in creative production
- Apply AI across every stage of a motion design and video project, including research, scripting, design, animation, audio, and delivery
- Write effective prompts for text, image, audio, and video-based AI tools to produce usable results
- Create AI-enhanced visual assets, scripts, voiceovers, and animatics
- Generate and run basic JavaScript and ExtendScript code with ChatGPT to automate repetitive tasks in Adobe Creative Cloud applications
- Complete a short motion graphics or video project from start to finish using AI tools

David is the AEC Software Specialist at VDCI, with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and an Associate’s degree of science in Drafting and General Design from ITT Technical Institute. A San Diego native with over 12 years working in the Design Industry and construction industry, David brings his construction and design expertise to help all students achieve their goals in the field. Outside of his professional life, David loves attending concerts, festivals, playing his guitar and restoring and repairing all types of vehicles.
